Toward ZERO Carbon Solutions—Hydrogen and Fuel Cells
A Briefing in the U.S. Senate
The briefing outlined the zero carbon benefits of hydrogen and fuel cells, coming soon after President Obama signed into law the FY 2010 budget on October 28th. Nearly 75 people were in attendance to hear speakers representing a diverse range of interests within the hydrogen community. These included Keith Cole from General Motors, Catherine Dunwoody from the California Fuel Cell Partnership, Michael Holmes from the Univ. of North Dakota, William Summers from Savannah River National Laboratory, Pinakin Patel of Fuel Cell Energy and Jerry Hinkle from NHA, plus remarks by Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND, the Co-chair of the Hydrogen and Fuel cell Caucus) who offered encouraging comments that funding will remain stable in future years.
